Longer Version:
I was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. I left town for two years and studied at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa before transferring back to the University of Iowa. While at the UofI, I studied Geography and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in the spring of 2007.
I left town immediately to spend a year working in Washington, DC for NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey (NGS). Longing for the great state of Iowa, I worked out a work-from-home deal at work and moved back to Iowa City in June 2008. I am basically a Geographer/Web Developer. I make maps, maintain databases, and create a bunch of web pages for NGS’ Intranet and Internet sites. I have even been known to program a little bit.
I am married to a wonderful girl named Abby. We got married in October 2009. So far married life has been great. We can be very different people at times, but our love for each other is stronger than any issue that separates us.
I spend a lot of my free time being an computer geek, a cyclist, a doodler, a beer drinker, and a Netflix subscriber.
